Chris Boivin

President

Chris is the Director of Technology on the Insights team of Acosta Sales & Marketing in Jacksonville, Florida. In this position, he facilitates the development and of technology utilized by Acosta's Marketing Division and its clients for retail analysis and strategy definition. This includes managing Acosta’s InfoLync data presentation software (currently installed with 12 CPG manufacturers), and the implementation of new tools to support efficient item assortment, pricing/promotion optimization, shopper insights and other key initiatives. Chris holds MBAs in Marketing, Finance and MIS from the University of South Florida and a BA in Communications from the State University of New York.


Laurie McLaughlin

President-Elect

Laurie is a sales and marketing consultant for StorterChilds Printing & Consolidated Graphics, one of North America's leading commercial printing and marketing companies. Laurie has been with StorterChilds for over 3 years and works in the Jacksonville market exclusively, partnering with companies to develop marketing campaigns and to more effectively manage their collateral. Previously, Laurie has worked with other industry-leading organizations including RR Donnelly, International Paper, and Heidelberg USA, Inc. and is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree is Graphic Communications.


Lisa Daniel

Immediate Past-President

Lisa Daniel is currently the Senior Marketing Manager at the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce.  Throughout her career, Lisa has held a wide range of market communications and public affairs roles. Graduating in 1993 from Troy University with a double major of broadcast journalism and political science, Lisa was a weekend anchor and managed several political campaigns before settling into the health care industry in 1994. Since then, Lisa served in a government affairs role for Prudential Healthcare, public relations and internal communications positions at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF), and as Director of Marketing at Sterling Healthcare and at Diversified Clinical Services (DCS).


Natalie Halpern

VP of Programming

Natalie is a Communications and Marketing professional and award-winning Producer. Her career has focused on crafting stories for a wide range of media and using innovative approaches, including multimedia, to develop communications, marketing, and community outreach initiatives that increase an organization’s visibility, engage new audiences, generate brand awareness, and improve internal communications. Before moving to Jacksonville, Natalie was Media Relations Manager/Producer for a large nonprofit in Washington, D.C. Her documentary, “Africa’s Daughters,” which captures how a high school education transforms the lives of two Ugandan girls, has screened at 17 film festivals, winning the Atlanta Film Festival’s Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary Short. Natalie has a B.S. in Journalism and a B.A. in Political Science from Boston University and speaks Spanish, French and Portuguese.


Travis Webb

VP Web & Interactive Media

Travis Webb is the Branch Manager for Robert Half Technology, a Division of Robert Half International (RHI), in Jacksonville, Florida. He joined RHI in September of 2005 as an Account Executive and was promoted to the role of Branch Manager in March of 2010. He currently serves as the Past-President for the Jacksonville Information Technology Council of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. Travis spent the last 2 years as the President after serving the previous 4 years in other various board positions. Travis holds an A.S Degree in Drafting and Design Technology from Florida State College at Jacksonville.


Julia Steffen

VP Community & Charitable Affairs

Julia is the Middle and High School Program Manager at Best Buddies International in Jacksonville.  She has several years of experience in communications and marketing and holds a degree in Marketing from the University of North Florida.




Gina Starr

VP Marketing

Gina Starr is currently the Public Relations and Social Marketing Manager at BROOKSLACAYO, a full-service advertising agency. Gina represents the Generation Y/Millenial/NowGeneration mindset and culture in the agency’s PR and Social Marketing. She has the leadership role in strategizing social media campaigns with an impressive record of accomplishment. Her clients include retail, healthcare, entertainment, and non-profit organizations. Gina studied Business Management in Valencia, Spain through Florida State University’s International Programs. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications (Public Relations track) from the University of North Florida.


Edith Armenti

Chapter Secretary

Edith is a Customer Service Trainer at Medtronic, and has held several client service and sales roles in the medical device industry. She has a degree from the College of St. Benedict and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix.





Melissa Shrader

VP Sponsorships

Melissa is the Senior Sales & Marketing Specialist (and self appointed Bridge Builder Extraordinaire) at the American Culinary Federation (ACF), the premier professional chefs’ organization in North America with more than 20,000 members in more than 225 chapters. Primarily focused on business development and relationship management, Melissa’s marketing connection comes from collaborating with major foodservice manufacturers to determine effective ways to build a profitable connection with foodservice professionals. Melissa holds a M.A. in Interpersonal Communication and B.A. in Advertising/Public Relations from the University of Central Florida. She’s borrowed words to live by from Marcy Blochowiak, CEO/Marketing Director of World Financial Group: "Whether it is an unexpected act of kindness, providing extraordinary customer service, or being sincerely interested in every word that someone says…great leaders usually have one thing in common: They consistently do more than is expected."


Tim Page

Chapter CPA and Treasurer

Tim is a CPA with the firm Jack Meeks & Associates, CPAs, LLC. He currently offers tax and accounting services to both individuals and small to mid-sized businesses. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner with experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigation and litigation support. Prior to his tenure at his current firm, Tim was an Auditor for the Jacksonville City Council for several years. Tim earned his MBA in finance from the University of North Florida and his BA in Accounting and Business Administration from Flagler College.


Vickie Elabu

VP Communications

Vickie Elabu has been employed with Acosta Sales & Marketing for more than 2 years, as a Category Reporting Specialist. Acosta holds the title of the leading full-service sales and marketing company, in North America. Vickie’s position specializes in managing syndicated data, primarily from IRI and Nielsen Company, by use of Acosta’s Infolync and Datasync presentation software packages. She is also responsible for managing a number of reports and analyses for our top CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) clients, as well as business managers, in support with marketing services. Vickie holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications (focus in Public Relations), from the University of North Florida.


Josh Pelham

VP, Membership

Josh Pelham is a Marketing Associate and Research Analyst with Ulrich Research Services Inc. In this role Josh makes it his personal mission to communicate the value of market research insights through new and emerging media outlets. He has also manages the creation and innovation of many online research studies at Ulrich Research. Josh joined the Ulrich Research team shortly after graduating from the University of North Florida with a BBA in Marketing.
