About our Keynote Speaker
Charlene Shirk is the Creative Director and Founder of C. Shirk Productions and the soon to be launched CSPR – Charlene Shirk Public Relations. Charlene is also a panelist on The Chat – an exciting and engaging live local talk show on the First Coast. Prior to starting her own company, Charlene was the Director of Community Relations for THE PLAYERS Championship at the PGA TOUR headquartered in Ponte Vedra.
Prior to joining the TOUR in 2007, Charlene was best known for her 10 years as the friendly face of the weekend morning and evening newscasts on First Coast News, the NBC and ABC affiliate in Jacksonville.
Charlene has been recognized several times over for her excellence in journalism both on a local and national level. Her most noteworthy awards include the Gabrielle Award, sponsored by the Catholic Communicators in radio and television, the Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists along with a regional Emmy nomination from the National Academy of Television Arts.
Charlene was also named as “The Most Crush-Worthy Female Celebrity,” by Florida Times-Union subscribers, “Best Hairdo in Town” and “Best Pitchwoman” by Folio Magazine readers.
Charlene is currently the Community Outreach and Public Relations Chair on the board of Blessings in a Backpack and is a member of Leadership Jacksonville, Class of 2015.
